Why have the small coutries Sweden and Norway become so rich? what do
they have in common? High taxes!

Why are spain and Portugal quite poor? what do they have in common?

To take it from the other side: when did the Great Depression begin to let
up? When Roosevelt started spending public money.

America, of course, is a "rich" country with low taxes, but a lot of that
money belongs to a few people. Otherwise, well, do charities that formed
for service in Africa provide healthcare to a rich population?

Have you read "The Spirit Level"? If not, read it, it's a jolly good book.

All the productive and successful people are either working off the
books in Sweden and Norway or they have moved to a tax free country.

If someone is driving a nice car in these countries you know he is a
plumber or other businessman who collects cash from his customers.

If you tax all rich people in the USA at 100%, you wouldn't have enough
to support the lazy bastards that can't get out of bed and do some work!

How do you know that, then?

The USA already seems to be finding the money to support the few lazy
bastards, as well as the many people who would love to work but can't find
any jobs or are too sick. Do you mean they'd have LESS money if they taxed
rich people more? Why?

Sorry, you know how it is - I understand my own side's arguments, however
vaguely put, because I've seen them before, but others need explaining more
carefully!

Expand, please. We have a fair bit of it over here, and it's never looked
at all like slavery to me.

It is commonly looked as slavery because the money is getting money from
its people for seemingly no reason. It is unfortunate in the case of my
country that tax rarely gets to its intended destination.

Of course, there are many upsides to socialism as well. Such as free
health care.

You're an idiot. High taxes have NOTHING to do with Sweden's "standard
of living", which has undergone huge highs and lows, including a
crushing recession in the 80s.

Sweden and Norway have one thing that america doesnt have, and
something liberals cannot stand: a homogenous population with a
universally accepted work ethic. EVERYBODY works in Sweden, EVERYBODY
PAYS TAXES.

You'll never get that in America because there are simply too many
people refusing to work, and expecting a handout, and never paying a
dime in income tax. American liberals are OK with this, and
incredibly, continue to excuse and enable this behavior.

Cranking up taxes in America wont do a thing because SO MANY PEOPLE
DONT PAY THEM.

Choke on that, libtard idiot.
