Can't follow this sentence at all. Anyhow, straight soldiers are hardly
likely to catch Aids from homosexual soldiers, for the obvious reason that
they wouldn't sleep with them! The only people who might catch Aids from a
homosexual are other homosexuals, and that could happen whether or not they
were in the army.

I'm sure you didn't really mean to imply that only violent men count as
"real Americans"...
I expect most homosexuals would be too familiar with homophobic people like
yourself to do anything so silly. If one or two aren't, well, is it fair to
ban all the others for the sake of protecting a few silly ones?

You aren't very well informed are you, Indiana Dama? Many western
nations have allowed homosexuals to serve openly for years. Try telling
a British SAS trooper or an Italian SEAL team member that he isn't a
REAL man.

Homosexuals have been serving in the US military probably as long as
there has been a US military, just not openly. I served 21 years and we
knew that we had them in the ranks and in the officer corps. We just
didn't really care so long as they did their job, had their buddies back
and kept their orientation out of the unit and off post - the latter two
because it was a crime under the UCMJ and we couldn't flagrantly ignore
a violation. I never served in a unit whose mission capability was
degraded by having suspected homosexuals in it.
